Bubble ball. Paint night. Resurrection. Operation Backyard. Our Fountain City UMC youth ministry seamlessly mixes fun and faith, service and slip-n-slide, all while providing a safe space for our youth to discover what it means to follow Jesus, even when it’s tough or unpopular. Our youth ministry staff (including our hopelessly cool interns) are dedicated to building real, lasting friendships with and between our middle and high school students. For more information on all the wacky and/or (and) messy events our Youth Director can dream up, please contact Chief Schemer Daniel Doubleday.

The NET is our after-school ministry dedicated to our students at Gresham Middle School. We strive to make our after school program an excellent place where students are safe, nurtured, and spiritually encouraged. From healthy snacks, time to study, time to relax, tutoring, daily devotions, recreation, opportunities for artistic expression, and safe transportation from GMS, we offer something unique in our community.
The NET meets weekdays from 3:30 – 6:00 pm when Knox County Schools are in session. Though Fountain City UMC members are given preference for placement in the program through August 1, you may turn in an application at any time. Fees for the 2019-2020 school year are as follows:
- Non-refundable registration fee: $60, due at the time of registration;
- Full-time: $160/month for one child; $255/month for two children;
- 4 days a week: $150/month for one child; $240/month for two children;
- 1-3 days a week: $140/month for one child; $225/month for two children.
For additional information, please contact Daniel Doubleday, or call the church office at (865) 689-5175. We look forward to walking with you on this journey into the teenage years!
