SCHOLARSHIP GIVING
CHARLES SLOAN SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship provides funds to assist college students on the basis of need and maintaining satisfactory scholastic performance. Priority is given to FCUMC members who intend to study a curriculum connected with the church.
MELTON SCHOLARSHIP
The Melton Scholarship is open to persons who have participated in the music program of Fountain City UMC and plan to pursue a career in education or music. For details, please contact our Music Director, Leslie Hill.
JAY GARRISION ADULT EDUCATION FUND
This fund provides financial aid to adult students pursuing further education through GED, college, trade school, or other recognized programs. The Whobodies Sunday School Class administers the funds and awards assistance. If you would like more information, please contact Charley Gray.
Erin’s Scholarship Fund
This endowment in memory of Erin Sewell assists those desiring to further their education to serve in children’s ministry.
UMC Higher Education Foundation
This fund makes it financially possible for Methodist students to attend UMC-affiliated institutions of higher education. Their Dollars for Scholars program provides $1,000 matching scholarships to students attending UMC-affiliated institutions who have received a $1,000 scholarship from their local church.
