Our keynote speaker will be retired UMC deaconess, Betty Purkey, who will be sharing some of her personal experiences & reflections regarding the difference that we make together on behalf of furthering the kingdom of Jesus Christ.
We will also have a guest speaker from Rise Against Hunger, giving us the history of this global ministry and their vision of ending world hunger by 2030. We have partnered with Rise Against Hunger for seven years, and by the end of this Missions weekend, we will have packaged 260,000 meals!
After dinner, we are asking for volunteers to help set up the gym for our meal packing event!

My Faith Promise for Missions
During all three worship services, you will have the opportunity to make your 2020-21 Faith Promise commitment. Because of your generosity, FCUMC has been able to support dozens of ministries over the years, above and beyond our General Fund Pledge. Thank you for being a church body dedicated to God’s call for our lives, and, as John Wesley so eloquently put it, making the world our parish.
