Doug Shipman
Director of Food Services
Wow, it’s been over eighteen years since I started an adventure here at Fountain City United Methodist Church as the Director of Food Services. It has been such a joy and blessing to have prepared meals alongside my wonderful volunteer servants. The laughter and enthusiasm we share make all of the hard work actually fun. It is the volunteers and their hospitable hearts that fuel our efforts to serve good meals. The most important part of my life on earth is certainly my family. My wife and I have three wonderful adult daughters, all uniquely different but similar in so many ways. They’ve contributed so much to our food service ministry as children and learned how to have servants’ hearts as evidenced by the fact that two are educators and one is a social worker. We would love for you to join us on Wednesday evenings for a fellowship dinner and meet more of our Fountain City Church family.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come to him and eat with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20
