Adult Discipleship Ministries begin the first week of October and will last for six weeks. All classes will be online via Zoom on Wednesdays at 6:30pm.
Please sign up by clicking on “Prayer, Presence, Gifts, or Witness” in red at the beginning of each class below to register. We look forward to connecting with you through our virtual discipleship!
PRAYERS – Join the Discipleship Sunday School Class as they adapt to the changing times. Mark Seals will be leading this group through the book by Judah Smith, How’s Your Soul? Why Everything that Matters Starts with the Inside You. (Jeremiah 29:11). Mark will be using Facebook Live on the Journey Facebook page for his classes.
PRESENCE – “Heart” is mentioned in scripture over 1,000 times. Based on Bible passages about the heart, we will look at the heart as a basis for faith, the church, and personal lives. Join Rev. Dr. Jim Dougherty as he leads the group through The Heart of Christianity. (Matthew 22:37)
GIFTS: This fall you can focus on living faithfully and financially with the virtual Financial Peace Class. Amy Harrington Bible is a Ramsey Financial Coach and will be the class leader. Class members will watch videos on their own time and meet via Zoom at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings from October 11–December 13. There will be no class on November 29. Use the following code to watch the videos and access the resources on the Ramsey Financial Peace University website: fpu.com/1122422
WITNESS: We have two choices in this category of discipleship.
WITNESS -1. We all have to start or restart on our discipleship journey. Join Senior Pastor, Rev. Tom Ballad as he leads a holy conversation around Starting Point: Listening to Voices Addressing Racism. (Galatians 3:28)
WITNESS – 2. Journey with Dave Danford as he continues to help us look at the Holy Land and the Bible. You will discover the witness that can be found across the lands and locations in the Scriptures. (Acts 1:8)
FOUNTAIN LITTLES FIRST LOOK
October Series: When we are faced with tough situations, it’s important to think about what is true. No matter how big our situation is, the truth is that God will always be bigger. God is always with us, caring for us, and listening when we talk to Him.
Bottom Line: God’s got it. “God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9, NLT
FOUNTAIN KIDS – Outrageous October
Our October teaching theme is community and transformation. Once again, our activities will be adjusted to our circumstances in October.
Because we know that God is good, we can live life with integrity. Who we are in private should match who we are in public. When we trust God, we can be truthful in whatever we say and do.
October Scripture:
Anyone who lives without blame, walks safely. But anyone who takes a crooked path will get caught. Proverbs 10:9
